The primary role of the consortium - Music Marche Accordions - within the international world of music is to protect, promote and develop our rich heritage of experience and ingenuity that originated with the intuitive genius of Paolo Soprani who started the production of accordions in Castelfidardo some 150 years ago. Due to its composition, the consortium is devoted to assist, in any way possible, with the promotion and expansion of accordion interests throughout the world.

Today, more than 500 artisans are employed in the manufacture of accordions and in the preparation of their components. A vast number of models and types of instrument are produced – from those for beginners and amateurs to those especially built for the most demanding of professionals. About 20,000 are manufactured yearly and reach players and fans all over the world.

Whoever owns one of these instruments, either made today or decades ago, should be conscious of and proud of playing a masterpiece of high artisan craftsmanship. The thousands of components that make up each instrument constitute an incomparable mosaic of ability, sensibility and intuitiveness so that when one begins to pull and push the bellows, merry notes flow that, not only bring pleasure to ones ears, but also recreation to the mind and delight to the spirit.
